so long 2020

This is my last bargain of 2020. I gave 15.00 but I liked it and I think it's old. The lady that sold it said she thought packs of peanuts use to come in it. I don't know what came in it but I know what I'll be putting in it :)

Here's a closer shot. If you know what came in it originally comment below. Oh and she gave me a croqueted  dish cloth too. Came from the same store I got the stocking from in the last post.

Wishing you all a great 2021!

  1. I much prefer buying something from the past rather than something new. ;0) I really like your new to you glass container. I don't know what the original contents use to be; but I know you will use it in a great way. Hope you will share the new dish cloth too. Hope you enjoy a Happy New Year's Eve. Best wishes to you in the coming New Year 2021.

  2. I am not sure what came in it but I have the same jar and i love it.
    Happy New Year

  3. I love your jar - so what are you going to put in it?
I hope you and your family have a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!! - ;))

  4. I remember those type jars sitting on store counters with small packages in them. It could have been peanuts or penny candy - and I am sure those store owners reused them.
So what are you putting in it? Yo-yos perhaps?

  5. Haha, Gene and I thought the same thing. Yo-you would look charming in this jar!

  6. Oh, I just love the old jars and I do think Gene is the old country stores as well. We have one in Jefferson and you can even find some old candy....has a soda fountain as well.

  7. How nice, I love old jars as well. I always prefer old to new.
